Advertising Disclosure

The Federal Trade Commission has announced that as of December 1st, 2009, all bloggers and web site authors must clearly disclose “their connection, if any, with the advertisers; and also reveal the receipt of free products and or payments from the advertisers”.

Advertising

The only advertising on the Sojourns In Nature Photo Blog is to sometimes display the Hunt’s Photo and Video logo. The Sojourns in Nature team does not receive personal compensation any way for this advertisement.

Our association with Hunt’s is a form of sponsorship:  in exchange for displaying the Hunt’s logo and listing specials, Hunt’s offers special discounts that are exclusive to Sojourns In Nature subscribers.  Additionally, our friend Gary Farber at Hunt’s has generously offered to contribute $125.00 toward the cost of our multimedia presentation, “Sojourns in The Wild – Farther Afield”.  All he’s asking in return is an invitation from the club, museum, theatre, campus, or organization hosting the show to attend the presentation and set up his Hunt’s exhibit.  This reduces the cost of the presentation to $225.00.

Products

I (Rob) often write blog posts about the use of filters, and I may mention the Singh-Ray brand or other brands. It should be noted that I also write blog posts for the Singh-Ray blog site. Singh-Ray contacted me after having seen my Sojourns In Nature blog posts.

After writing a number of blog posts for Singh-Ray, they send me two filters for my personal use. I may write about these filters if I choose to.

Please note that any brand mentioned in this blog is because either Gustav or I use those products by choice, not by contract or obligation. Any information we may provide on any brand or product is meant to be based on our personal use and experience, and we will not allow ourselves to be influenced by any possible contract or compensation.
